Bitch Needs Coin…and a Black Card

Some days a practically famous gal has to open her wallet and spend like a cast member of  “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills”.  Limited edition pieces from your favorite designer can become classic additions to your closet but also appreciating art pieces which will bring value…like a fashion 401K plan.  I’m excited to announce two fashion collaborations that well worth their premium prices.

Alexander Wang for Beats by Dre

Alexander Wang, designer extraordinaire collaborated with Dr. Dre to bring an ultra-limited edition of custom beats which include headphones, ear buds, and the “pill.”  I love the black on black design…especially because the black is tinged with GOLD!  You can purchase a pair at You Can Purchase at Opening Ceremony

Alexander McQueen and Damien Hirst Scarf Collection

From the McQueen site:  “In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the skull scarf, Alexander McQueen presents an exclusive collaboration with Damien Hirst. The partnership seamlessly plays on the shared aesthetic vision of Hirst and McQueen, in which an interest in symmetrical design is combined with strong references to the natural world. Each artwork is adapted from Hirst’s Entomology series; butterflies, bugs, spiders and other insects have been worked into each scarf design to form kaleidoscopic geometric shapes, laid out to create the signature McQueen skull motif. The scarf bears the Damien Hirst and Alexander McQueen logo and fringed edges.  Shipped in special edition packaging. 30 UNIQUE DESIGNS – LIMITED AVAILABILITY – EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE ONLINE & IN STORES”

Welcome to the Famous Buy Default/ Practically Famous Blog

FAME

noun: fame

1.       The condition of being known or talked about by many people, esp. on account of notable achievements  just good freakin’ luck.

In a field far, far away from the glitz and glam of Hollywood and Rodeo Drive stood a young maiden cloaked in Liz Claiborne and Espirt who dreamed of a life filled with lunch at Bergdorf’s, custom Birkins, and chauffeured Bentleys.  A shooting star crossed her path and she wished she may and she wished she might… become quite famous (with a chateau in Switzerland) at some point in her life.  The young maiden grew old yet sadly was devoid of a morsel of fame but realized that even without a custom Birkin her lifestyle had become almost, kind of, practically famous.

As tongue and cheek as my “practically famous” life has turned out to be, the creation of Lifestyles of the Deceptively Un-Rich and Practically Famous blog is all those who know that they have an inner flame of celebrity, notoriety, or even Kardashian infamy and are looking for a place to cultivate their grace or villainy.

Highlighting, Fashion, Style, and Social Life, the blog examines how to practically look and live the part of your own celebrity with pertinent commentary to keep us grounded with the normal folk.

My wish today after a life well-lived (on a budget) without fame would be that I would stay Famous Buy Default!
